# Info for Applicants

### Applying for a room

Applications for Studierendenwerk Aachen dorms are processed centrally via the [Application Portal](https://bewerberportal.stw.rwth-aachen.de/). Each floor then gets a shortlist of candidates which your future floormates vote upon.

<p class="callout info">**We're looking for network team members!** While we can't directly assign you a spot, feel free to reach out to <netzag@oih.ac> if you're interested in helping us run our network.</p>

### Apartment types

#### Einzelapartment

Floors 5-15 (as well as two rooms on floor 0) have rooms with a kitchenette and your very own bathroom. Every floor also has a shared kitchen for gatherings and larger cooking endeavors.

##### Doppelapartment

Apartments that are double the size of the usual ones, perfect if you're in a couple or just want a little more space.

#### Einzelzimmer

Floors 1-4 have a more community-oriented approach. You get a sink in your room, and share the bathroom and kitchen with your floormates.
