Welcome to the OIH! Learn about the basics of life at OIH such as internet, washing and printing. Just moved in We, Otto-Intze-Haus e.V., are a non-profit registered association that provides internet, laundry, printing and other services inside the tower. A membership costs 30€ per semester. Joining the association Create an account on oih.ac. If you haven't received one already, print and fill out the registration form and contact the house speakers (haussprecher@oih.ac).  Laundry and Printing Credits are used for washing and printing services. Here is the credit breakdown: 5€ for 166 credits 10€ for 332 credits 15€ for 500 credits Every time you buy credits, you receive a code. On the website oih.ac, on the right side, you will find "Account" where you can find the "Redeem" section. There, you enter the code and click on the button on the right to confirm it. After that, you can check your balance to see if it worked. To buy credits you can contact the person in charge via WhatsApp  (For contact details details check OIH WhatsApp group description) A washing appointment costs 60 credits and lasts 2 hours and 40 minutes. You can book the appointment through the website (oih.ac). There are two washing machines: a green one on the right and a blue one in the middle. The dryers are free to use and can be used up to an hour after your appointment ends. To activate the washing machine, you can do it directly from the website oih.ac using your phone ‚Activate‘ "Activate for one minute" means that after your appointment ends, the washing machine door cannot be opened to take out your clothes. You can click "Activate for one minute" without waiting for the next person's appointment. If you face any issues with the washing machine, you can contact one of the washag. The washing and printing rooms are located in the basement. For printing, one black and white page costs 1 credit and color printing costs 3 credits. Info for Applicants Applying for a room Applications for Studierendenwerk Aachen dorms are processed centrally via the Application Portal. Each floor then gets a shortlist of candidates which your future floormates vote upon. We're looking for network team members! While we can't directly assign you a spot, feel free to reach out to netzag@oih.ac if you're interested in helping us run our network. Apartment types Einzelapartment Floors 5-15 (as well as two rooms on floor 0) have rooms with a kitchenette and your very own bathroom. Every floor also has a shared kitchen for gatherings and larger cooking endeavors. Doppelapartment Apartments that are double the size of the usual ones, perfect if you're in a couple or just want a little more space. Einzelzimmer Floors 1-4 have a more community-oriented approach. You get a sink in your room, and share the bathroom and kitchen with your floormates.   Application Portal
